Career Counseling and Assessment
The qualified staff of the Aberdeen Area Career Planning Center assists clients in evaluating and assessing their interests, values, and abilities. Finding a career that suits your abilities and goals is very important in helping you remain secure and successful in a position. Clients wishing to acquire career information to help make a decision may do so through various tests administered and scored at the Center. Assessments offered include:

Career Assessment Inventory (CAI)
Career Ability Placement Survey (CAPS)
VALPAR
Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE)
Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT)
In addition to the assessments offered to clients who have experienced unemployment or who are wanting a career change, the Center also assists with specific skills such as resume writing and interviewing.
