How to Get the Job You Want Workshop
The "How to Get the Job You Want" Workshop is offered on a regular schedule and helps the individual maximize employment opportunities by assisting them with recognizing their strengths and skills. The workshop addresses the following areas: Skills Identification and values, Networking and the Hidden Job Market, Written Communication such as resume writing and cover letters, Inteviewing Techniques and Job Retention. The sessions emphasize the importance of keeping a positive attitude and self-confidence. The workshop is for individuals seeking employment for the first time or for someone who is changing careers or working towards advancement of their career.
Job Success - Keeping the Job
The job success workshop is designed to give participants information on job retention. The two-day six-hour workshop allows for discussion and the application of information through case studies. All participants will receive the Job Success booklet to use for future reference. Particpants will become familiar with the following:
Knowing what their employer expects
Becoming familiar with the basic work skills normally required for job success
Understanding the supervisory relationship
Realizing that career advancement can be built on the success of teamwork
