Northeastern Trades Training Program (NETT)
The Northeastern Trades Training Program (NETT) offers comprehensive courses in Carpentry and Electrical fields that are designated to provide you with the skills that allow you to secure a good paying job and begin an exciting career in the trade area. Both training tracts utilize a nationally recognized and accredited educational curriculum developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. Upon completion of this training you will receive a certificate indicating you have the skills needed to successfully embark on a career journey in the areas of carpentry or electrical.
Classes for the various levels of training will be scheduled in succession, the same as at a college, university or vo-tech school. The carpentry track will take approximately 15 months and the electrical track will take approximately 12 months to complete.
You must be 18 years of age with either a high school diploma or GED. However, students without a high school diploma or GED may be conditionally admitted into this training provided they enroll in the AACPC GED obtainment program. Such students will be allowed to remain and progress through the NETT program levels as long as satisfactory progress is maintained towards earning their GED.
All students entering the NETT program will be enrolled in a 72.5 hour "Core" course that will serve as the foundation for specific training for both the carpentry and electrical instructional tracts.
